Dipping my Toe into Infographics

I spent hours today trying out different infographic design tools and making my first infographic.  After visiting many sites, I made my choice: Easel.ly.  This website is still in beta form, so its features will probably improve, but this was, by far, the most user-friendly infographic generator I tried.  Users select a theme and get going right away.

The toolbar looks like this:
The workspace looks like this:
My first attempt looks like this:
I know it's not very fancy or text-rich, but I think it will work for now.  Thanks, Easel.ly, for really making it easy!

  1. Great job, Joey! I think I have been intimidated by at the thought of creating an infographic because all the ones that I have seen are so fabulous (yours included)! I like that you kept it simple.

  2. Looks nice! Info-graphics beyond VennDiagrams seem completley beyond me. I know Catherine Huber and Bree did variations on an infographics project several times over the last year, many of which used the "repeated image as histogram" trope.

I also saw an amazing font last week that turns straight numeric text into amazing resizable charts and graphs. We live a world of FONT-based technology!
